Electron Capture

Electron Capture is essentially the opposite of beta emission. In this case an electron from the atom is "captured" by a proton in the nucleus and is used to convert one of the "up" quarks into a "down" quark, resulting in a neutron.

202Pb undergoes such a reaction.
